The Red Blog: Making of Novaterra

There are certain projects which because of their complexity and logistics, deserve to be mentioned with a special intention, that goes beyond wanting to show the final result and focuses on sharing an experience, creating a sort of log of what was done, to demonstrate the talent and the capacities of the people who lives on a daily basis in this world, to those unaware of the deep, detailed and demanding it is and to even receive advice from outsiders or feedback from participants.

 

 

Novaterra was a different project in that it was the first with which decided to move a little compass and turn the tide. Uniting talents, explore, learn, observe, teach, experience and get in the middle all, a good result. Doing it was a challenge and an investment, which there was only put hands to work… and it was what we did, with a pre-production that took about three weeks, more than 30 artists filming and many others more in post-production, all working at the same pace, accuracy, organization, concentration and time running to our favor and at times against. It was a unique day, with a high demand, which began before dawn and ended when night left us see some flashing lights in the sky.

 

 

The post started immediately, parallel processes such as CGI and the montage were on wheels while the “green screen” was being extracted, thing we had planned for some shots where it was necessary to immerse the actors in a world that was still imaginary. At the end of the whole CGI process, it was composed with video and the final clip, colorized.

 

 

-Delivery time has arrived!.-

 

The result was more than a spot of 2 minutes, a happy customer and the beginning of an incredible joint, of a synergy and a community of collaborators passionate for what they do, a team of talented dreamers, who without realizing it were making its way between worlds so complex, so distant and similar at the same time as Video, CGI and Photo… a powerful team we call Chroma Team.
